Why do people continue to make announcements of upcoming announcements?? Don't they get it? We want something that we can get our hands on. Why not wait and make the announcement when the product is really ready - or is there a product?? |

| OK change license to support. It still looks like Hyperion/ACube vs AInc/Ack. Who will win? |

| @stew Well, acube will make SAM wether amigaland wants it or not. it is not their primary market. The board has been finished and is most likely being made beta tester quantities.
As for ACK, well, I won't count him out he is very skilled in what he does (but as someone said, he needs a PR-guy)
As for what OS the ACK/A.Inc hardware will run, I would like people to check out my last post.
If it will run AOS4 then hyperion has officially ported it, right?

Holy cow, is the level of unprofessionalism never going to dry up. I'm sorry you had to find this out the hard way and loosing money on it as well.
The only decent thing Adam could do is call you and sort it out in private, and send back what he stole from you... or pay you.
Can't comment on Amiga Inc, there aren't words for it. _________________ AmigaOS or MorphOS on x86 would sell orders of magnitude more than the current, hardware-intensive solutions. And they'd go faster.-- D.Haynie

It would have to be Articia based. I somehow doubt that to be the case. _________________ Playstation Network ID: xeron6

That is not strictly true is it?
These promises were made 3 years ago.

Wiesel wrote: More flexible read- and write operations In addition to working on whole tracks, which made all previous Catweasel models so flexible, tracks can now also be partially accessed very precisely. Should this become necessary for compatibility or speed reasons, the Catweasel MK4 is perfectly prepared. |
Many people bought the Catweasel MKIV thinking that it would be able to be used to access copy protected original Amiga disks. To date I think the Catweasel MKIV can only perform the same operations as the Catweasel MKIII with regards to accessing copy protected Amiga disks?
Quote:
Wiesel wrote: Dual-ported memory Contrary to it's predecessors, the new Catweasel MK4 can pass the data that it is currently reading from a disk to the computer while the read access is running. This allows realtime emulation, and error-free function of copy-protected software on emulators. |
Buyers also thought that they would be able to use the CW MKIV in conjuction with UAE to access copy protected and non copy protected Amiga disks directly. To date I dont think there is enough support to make this a reality, even in the latest driver?
I love your work, you have created amazing hardware for us. I own many of your products and I hope you create many more great products that I go on to buy. But PLEASE get off your soap box.Last edited by alexh on 24-Apr-2007 at 09:08 AM. Last edited by alexh on 24-Apr-2007 at 09:05 AM.

If it will run AOS4 then hyperion has officially ported it, right?
That is the question: Who has the right to "officially" port it. If Hyperion ports OS4 to Sam is it official without AInc support? |
