That crossed my mind too. If A.Inc is going strait to OS5, I hope they do right by all the folks who labored on OS4 too.

If it is OS5, and OS5 is (as I suspect) AmigaAnywhere hosted on Linux, then I'm going to jump off of a bridge.

If it is OS5, and OS5 is multiplatform (run also on x86) , then Why not A inc made a x86 motherboard that would be more competitive?

It´s a PowerPC motherboard so it will run OS4

But this come to my mind:

Bplan + Genesi -----> MorphOS
Hyperion + Acube -----> AmigaOS 4
Amiga inc + ACK -------> AmigaOS 5

I hope that our community doesn´t divide even more

In whatever case i think that this is a good news, worse would be not actions at all

I'm sceptical. Too many no-shows at Amiga shows. Too many dates not met. If we hear anything in a week, I will not be surprised -- I'll be utterly dumbfounded. It just won't happen. Speaking of Amiga retailers -- are there any left? Talk about a group that's been mistreated for decades. I can imagine a great big yawn from the so-called "Amiga retailers".

Note: the prices are higher in the Amiga Inc news item than what was previously mentioned.

In financial economic terms this is called 'inflation'. But as prices are quoted in US$, don't worry to much: the price of that currency is steadily decreasing so in the end the price in your native currency of the item to purchase might be lower, despite the quoted price in US$ having risen.

But I remain an Amigatheist: see first and then, and only then, I *might* believe!

Full agreement there. I think you're right about the PPC argument too. If it were AA + Linux then why go with PPC?

I *seriously* doubt OS5 is anything other than hot-air. If this comes to anything, it'll run OS4. ACK is on the OS4 beta team (and possibly on the dev-team, i'm not sure).

Sorry I fogot the guys in Amiga Development India! They'll come in handy giving advice on Microsoft tech, Sun Technologies, Linux/Unix, Mobile Platforms, Messaging Technology, Wireless Tech and Embedding Tech.

With this special focus on Amiga technologies how can they fail

Is there even a Amiga OS Desktop Division within Amiga Inc or is it really a case of :

Amiga Inc: "Adam your a nice guy could you solder up something that would work with OS4?"

Adam: " Yeah sure. Sounds fun!"

It is blatantly Amiga Inc's attempt to show they're doing something while doing as little as possible to actually support OS4!

Whatever, will be will be.....

In previous Q&A, Mr Bill McEwen mention the hardware company should have gross revenue of US$ 500,000. Is this true?

""We request a business plan, budget and current revenue figures that are at least $500,000.00 per year in revenue""

Does ACK Control have revenue of more than US$ 500 thousands/year?

Do they have good technical support department.

What is their website, address, fax, phone etc?
Thank you.

Until we get some sort of "psychical" evidence, it's better to keep things 'calm'...
I think you all know what i mean.
But still, this is good news.
