What bothers me more are the specs. There has been a lot of discussion about the graphics memory requirements for OS 4.1. The Sam has only 64MB. It's not going to be any better than a µA1 in that regard. I'd like to be able to run multiple max resolution 32bit screens but 64MB might not be enough mem.

And best of all only one er... person in this thread complaining that x86 systems (which are made in their millions) are less expensive than AOS4 systems (which are made in hundreds/few thousands). That's progress! The education must be finally working. :)

For what it's worth, the SAM runs rings around my micro here with 4.1. The M9 is significantly newer than the 7000 series, and the extra memory makes it an enjoyable experience.

Isn't it possible to use fastmem as videomem? (or is it too slow?)
I never heard of any problems with low gfxmem on os 3.x or MorphOS.

Or is it P96 which sucks?
