Picture Transfer Protocol on AmigaOS 4.1 Popular
Description: The OS4.1 PTP window and Quake 2 running in a window.

To use PTP on OS4.1 change your camera's USB setting to PTP and plug in. I've always used mass storage mode in the past, but I was pleasantly surprised how well PTP works on OS4.1. The preview window comes come almost instantly (with thumbnails) when the camera is plugged in and copying photos over seems faster than working with the usual mass storage. PTP also has a few extra menu items, like format, which are handy. Camera used is Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S730.

Capehill's Quake 2 port running in the other window, enjoying this great game for the first time! http://capehill.kapsi.fr

complex enuff AR Popular
Description: This uses the same settings of complex enuff, only that it shows a couple of applications running and also the pointer preferences, so that the pointer can be seen, too!

Don't let the bloody color of the background fool your eye - yet, Skelliton by RA just rocks!

clean enuff PI Popular
Description: First experiment of PowerIconification of my "clean enuff" theme.

I had to use icons from 4 different KDE icon packs to customize as many as possible WB icons and also ClassAction's and YAM's toolbars. The reason is that the best pack of them is still WIP and so has only few icons. This pack is a kind of "outlined" version of the Crystal SVG pack and comes from the same author; the key is of course the black outline, which in the screenshot is visible around the HD icons and the Locale prefs program.
BTW: the guy behind the AOS4 GUI told me that _maybe_ he will some day implement a feature that allows windows borders to be thicker: a 2-pixel thick black border around the windows would just be perfect for this theme.

The first two icons in the Prefs drawer are selected, that's why they have that red-ish glow (obtained by passing 128 32 0 as SELx values to PowerIcons).

I'm also experimenting a lot with fonts... probably they will change again...

In all, I find this theme quite pleasant to look at, although I can't say I'm 100% happy with the results: this is mostly due to the fact that I had to mix icons with different styles (and, anyway, KDE does not have all the icons that would be needed... no, I'm not complaining ;) ), but also partly due to the fact that I can't find a completely satisfying combination of fonts... and then... well, the window border thickness and then... mmm... I'd like a pastel+outline icon set... and then... hey, _now_ I'm complaining ;)

clean enuff PI II Popular
Description: It's a while since I made a few adjustments...

- AmiDock now shows the items in icon mode only instead of text mode only
- the background is changed at every (re)boot (by means of a couple of lines in the startup-sequence ;) ) and most of the times it is nothing but a plain, 1-colour one
- I switched to the Gartoon iconset, as that's what comes closer to what I'd really like (i.e. simple icons, little - or none at all - gradients, thick outlines)
- fonts have been changed a bit (probably)

In all, just another example of how I like keeping things simple...
... and how to I like to waste time with meaningless things!

complex enuff Popular
Description: I keep changing settings... lately I even switched to a more 3D look for a while, but then I got bored and I celebrated the arrival of update #3 with a return to a flatter style ;)
Still, this is more complex than I normally have... and, above all, the WB background is not a simple pattern but, unusually for me, a "proper" picture - just to avoid I get bored of the background too, I gathered 500+ demoscene pictures, from which the one used for the background gets randomly extracted at each reboot...

BuufBench Popular
Description: Last week the guy behind the GANT icon set released a set called Buuf.

Resized to 56x56 I spent some of tonight replacing my icons with this new set.

I think there's a touch too much brown going on but I can't fault the quality of the icons. I'm sure they'll live here for a good time.
