| Hmmm... I'm very sceptical. If I recall correctly, Ack killed one and lost another of Troiker's dev boards. If I recall correctly he also told some major porkies to some people concerning his health...
Ack has shown the least professionalism - the SAM team should have got the deal. |

Absolute speculation but perhaps Ainc have come on board as a business partner offering financial backing. Really you should direct this question to Bill as he's doing a Q&A session hopefully on A.Org soon!Last edited by Akiko on 23-Apr-2007 at 12:52 PM.

Not only the 20 questions but you reminded me of something.
How about, Bill doing that interview in front of the camera while broadcasting to the internet or, recording a video of himself answering the 20 questions and posting that video on AW or Aorg?
At least we could see his face while answering the 20 questions or something... just an idea... _________________ "Would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take our freedom?!?" | Sounds like good news, but: - Why no mention of OS4? - Why no hardware specs? |

| This looks like a response to the Hyperion-ACube strategic partnership... and it's interesting that they don't mention OS4 or Hyperion. I think you can safely assume that the legal dispute/discussions/actions/talks/whatever are still rumbling on.
So: Hyperion + ACube have hardware, software, but no license. AmigaInc + ACK have hardware (maybe? we've still seen no demo or even pictures), software*, and a licence.
* I don't think it'll be OS5. I think it'll be an earlier version of OS4! The one Amiga Inc paid for, for that port to the IBM mobile device. |

I believe that the story was his father was very ill and subsequently died. I have not seen any evidence to prove that this is not the case. Adam did "go quiet" after several people doubted his word on this. _________________ Happiness is mandatory. MindSpace: MindMaps and UML diagrams for OS4

| > Ask Amiga Inc
On June 17, 2006, I already asked Amiga Inc on their forum, but apparently Ray Akey (HMetal) got angry:
>asian wrote: >There is an announcement from ACK about delays because of medical problems. >Is this PV product just a hoax / scam? >Is there any other person in the company beside the designer? >If this is not a scam, do they plan to sell the design to other company?
Answer from Ray Akey: "I would request that you not bring supposition and accusations about Adam's product(s) to these forums. The questions raised by you here are not serious questions any one of us can answer, as none of us know Adam's intent. As these sorts of discussions are already going on in other forums, there is no need to rehash them here. We will find out what is going on if and when Adam releases another statement. Until that time, we'll give Adam the benefit of the doubt. And with that, this topic is now locked. Ray A. Akey" |

| No sh*t!!! If this turns out to be what it seems, really glad to see them supporting the community for once. Wonder how much did AInc. ask just for the licence... _________________

Isn't that now somewhat outdated? We know from the press release they were supposedly only beginning discussions around then.Last edited by Akiko on 23-Apr-2007 at 01:18 PM.

| I hope we're not talking about the hardware mentionned above.
a G3 for 500$ or G4 for 1500$... these are 5 years ago prices. Way too expensive and very outdated hardware. _________________

| My take:
SAM started to look a little to real to please AInc, and therefore they had to select a new "prime" HW-partner, and this time they made sure to take a very reliable producer of the finest vapour ...... _________________ - We don't need good ideas, we haven't run out on bad ones yet - blame Canada

| @SoundSquare I think 1500 $ is ok for the newest G4 7448 1,8 Ghz or the dual core 8641D. 500$ maschine would be nice with the newest G3 750GL 1 Ghz.

Still, I miss this message on this site, and these messages (this and this) on this site.
Even if not the full press releases, then I would at least expect some traces of it somewhere, in some form, that suggest some kind of common ambition and relation. News releases concerning more than one party is usually coordinated to appear on all involved parties sites at the same time (like this and this for instance). |
